Radiation Oncology

Medical imaging's radiation oncology section provides Image Guided Intensity - Modulated Radiotherapy (1.G .IMRT) - an advanced and precise method of external beam radiation therapy that delivers high doses of radiation directly to the tumor while sparing the surrounding healthy tissue. The linear accelerator technology allows our board-certified Oncologists to customize the radiation dose by varying the amount of radiation given to different parts of the treatment area. This is done in highly accurate, three-dimensional detail, according to the shape, size, and location of the tumor.

Cancers treated include:

  • Brain
  • Breast
  • Cervix
  • Colorectal
  • Head & Neck
  • Lung
  • Prostate
